Alexandre Gama is a Brazilian businessman and an advertising and publicity enthusiast. He attended Fundacao Armando Alvares Penteado where he studied Advertising and Propaganda.
Gama prides himself over 30 years’ experience in advertising and publicity, having started his career in 1982 at Standard Ogilvy where he worked as a writer. Eight years later, he joined DM9 as a copywriter, a position he held for four years. Gama had short stints with several other agents, including AlmapBBDO agency as a partner and VP of creation and Young & Rubicam where he doubled as CCO and President. Gama set out in 1999 to start his advertising agency Neogama, an award-winning firm since its inception. In 2014, Gama partnered with a Liverpool-based sports car manufacturing firm, Briggs Automotive Company. He also unveiled a Brazilian guitar project comprising of a recording studio, a radio program, a YouTube channel, and a label named VIOLAB.
Roles and Awards
Gama sits on the high-profile Board of the Brazilian Association of Advertising Agencies as a member. He has been a jury in the International Film Jury of the British Association and was once a chairman of the jury for the same festivals. Gama has won many awards throughout his career like the 23 Lions at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. He also sits on the Global Creative Board and his work has been exhibited at the Brazilian Art Museum.
