The Brazilian economy has been making headlines in recent years because of the powerful way it has grown to now be regarded as the fifth largest in the world. Entrepreneurs and business leaders, such as Flavio Maluf, have been at the forefront of the growth of the economy and feel success for the South American country can be sustained with the aid of government regulations; Flavio Maluf himself has called on the people and politicians of Brazil to work hard to continue the success that has already been achieved in the early 21st century.
Flavio Maluf has never been a person to follow the well trod path to success in his business or personal life; instead, Flavio looked for different ways of making his life a success that would take him to different areas of the world as he prepared to enter the world of business as an executive with the wood based product producer Eucatex, as a student Flavio graduated in mechanical engineering from Sao Paulo’s Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation; although the traditional path would have taken Flavio Maluf into a business career he looked to learn more about the way business and engineering were performed in the global capitals by moving to New York to continue his studies.
Success for Flavio Maluf has been hard won after he set out in the Eucatex company as a worker in various departments of the business moving through the trade and industrial areas of the business on an upward trajectory that continued from 1987 through 1996. In 1997, after exploring the majority of the Eucatex Group for a decade Flavio finally made the jump to executive level when he was appointed President of the business. Since his arrival as the President of Eucatex the group has undergone an amazing transformation to become one of the leading companies in the wood product industry around the world.
