Ross Abelow may be a busy family lawyer, but he’s not so busy he can’t step up and help protect the homeless animals in New York City. As a family law attorney, Ross is compassionate by nature.
Everyday he works with broken families to help them find a solution that will be beneficial to all involved. Especially the children, who are often looked at as the most vulnerable when families are going through a separation.
When it came to protected the most vulnerable animals in the city, Abelow took the same approach. He chose to show compassion by setting up a fundraiser to help out.
On January 13th, 2016 he started a GoFundMe page to help raise money for animal shelters in the New York City area. The goal is to raise $5000 to help with blankets, food, medical care and any other needs the animals may have. And though $5000 may not seem like a lot, it can go a long ways in saving the life of an animal that has been left out in the cold.
New York winters are tough. Especially on stray animals who have no place to call home. The hope is that, the shelters will be able to use the additional funds to provide shelter for more animals during the winter months.
